Shiki Norwich

This was the first time we have eaten at Shiki but it was actually top of our ‘to try list’ when I first moved back to Norwich. We finally got the chance to try it this week and the wait was worth it. I love Japanese food and struggle to find authentic, tasty food in England. Although there are lots of variations of Japanese foods now available, what really sets Shiki apart is the quality and authenticity of the food.

We ordered some Edamame Beans (£3) to snack on and then a bento box each. I had a Vegetable Shiki Sushi Bento (£23), this comes with miso soup, tempura, assorted nigiri, maki, age tofu and special tapas. It was a massive meal with a huge selection of vegetables and things to try and a side of rice. Tyler had a Salmon Teriyaki Dinner Time Bento (£22), which came with tsukidashi, two giant spicey prawns, a selection of sushi and miso soup, again, another massive meal!

As with other restaurants right now, Shiki is doing things a bit differently to normal, keep an eye on their Instagram page to keep the most up to date. They are currently open on Sundays with a limited menu as well as their normal hours and offer delivery services too. The staff is all super accommodating and if you have any requirements or questions they are more than happy to help out.

Overall I would give the food taste and quality 7/10. The menu is really clear and online, its also massive so that would have to be a 9/10 too.
