Jack Badcock, a highly experienced performer, is a singer and guitarist who has toured extensively across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. He is best known as the frontman and founding member of the acclaimed world folk band Dallahan. Additionally, he has collaborated with various artists such as Rura, Siobhan Miller, Adam Holmes, Dougie MacLean, and The Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Jack was brought up in Co. Kilkenny, Ireland, then in Yorkshire, England, before relocating to Scotland during his teenage years, resulting in a triple national identity across the three countries.
Having been a finalist in the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year Award and the writer/performer of Celtic Connections’ esteemed New Voices commission in the past, he has showcased his talent at numerous major folk music festivals worldwide. Jack unveiled his first solo EP, The Driftwood Project, in 2021. The EP boasts a diverse lineup of highly skilled instrumentalists from Scotland's jazz, classical, and folk scenes. This release earned a nomination for Original Work of the Year at the BBC Scots Trad Music Awards 2021.
His debut solo album Cosmography was released in May 2024 to critical acclaim. Produced by Euan Burton (known for his work with Kris Drever and Julie Fowlis), the album has been praised as "a shining collection of songs" and solidified Jack's reputation as "an exceptional songwriter."
